Proto Pipe Classic
Proto Pipe Classic
The original brass pipe we all know and love, our Proto Pipe® Classic was designed by Phil Jergenson in the late 60’s. It features permanent screen holes, a lid to snuff your bowl out, and a removable poker, stash pod, and tar trap. The address stamped into the stash pod hole and the PP stamped on the lid ensure that your Proto Pipe is authentic.

Cleaning the Pipes:
Every Proto Pipe has a permanent screen in the solid brass bowl. The poker can be used to clean resin and debris out the bowl when the screen becomes clogged. We recommend removing the Tar Trap and soaking it, along with the pipe, in isopropyl alcohol overnight to help loosen up any resin before cleaning the pipe with pipe cleaners. Be sure to thoroughly rinse your pipe with hot water and wipe it dry after cleaning.

Nice clean machining on bowl, which is more than deep enough for me. Perfect size. Great draw. Everything about this feels nice. Nothing is loose or cheap feeling. From the smooth fitment of the poker (same diameter as the tube it slides into and prevents storage from loosening which I appreciate small details like that) and the storage tube to the turning of the cap. This thing was ridiculously well planned out, designed and manufactured. Tired of accidentally breaking glass pieces so I went with something tried and true. Hope to have this for the next decade or two. Thanks for making a great product.
After extensive field testing I’ve determined this to be the best pipe I’ve ever used. I love the counter culture roots, the small family business, and the beautiful design and craftsmanship of this piece. Since it arrived I’ve used nothing else. I’ve taken it camping, hiking, biking, fishing as well as regular seshing. It’s super easy to clean, sturdy, beautiful, smooth hitting, discrete, and doesn’t waste herb. Plus I never have to worry about screens or film canisters popping open in my pocket. As long as you don’t forget your lighter you have everything you need to sesh anywhere. This definitely won’t be my only Proto Pipe- i love it!!
Really smooth hit
Exactly the same as the one I bought in 1987 .lovin it
