Care Instruction

To care for a Proto Pipe, regular maintenance is essential for longevity and smooth performance. Depending on usage, occasional spot cleaning or a thorough weekly cleaning will help prevent excessive buildup. Cleaning while the resin is still soft is much easier than waiting for it to harden. Use a pipe cleaner, isopropyl alcohol, and Q-tips to remove residue from the bowl, chamber, and mouthpiece. Disassemble the removable components, soak them in rubbing alcohol, and wipe out the tubes and bowl for a deeper clean. After cleaning, thoroughly rinse all parts with hot water to remove any remaining residue. Keeping your Proto Pipe well-maintained not only enhances performance but also preserves its classic look and function.

Reliable and ready

The off brand one I have is a testament to the design, very reliable, easy to clean, and handy to have. The poker tool can be lost easily if not carful, and the bowl will clog up quickly. The remedy for the poker is electrical shrink tubing. Helps keep it in place. The price for real deal is high, yet, I'm sure the difference in quality is worth it.
