Meet Phil's newest pipe, our Proto Voyager, fully equipped to help you blast off into your next journey. For three years, Phil has redesigned the Proto Pipe® Rocket and applied an artistic spin. Inspired by Sci-Fi classics, the Voyager boasts three updated features. The first is a wider, curved knurled collar on the stash pod that adds substance and grace to its appearance and also provides a more substantial grip to hold Poker in place. The second is his new Proton Poker which has a thicker, solid brass knurled handle that's easier to grip to remove and also adds a solid new look. The third is a double-notched bottom lid that makes it easier to open against stubbornly sticky resin.
Of course, it keeps all the amazing features of the original Rocket. Its bowl is beautifully round and holds a larger smoking capacity than the Proto Classic. The swiveling top lid is shaped into a graceful crescent that cleverly makes it also function as a roach clip. The bottom tar trap has been transformed from a plug that pops out into a bottom lid that swivels like the top lid, making it super easy to clean. The collar around the Stash Pod, that holds the Poker in place, is completely hand-shaped and knurled for improved function, feel, and appearance. Finally, the finished Voyager gets brushed for a lustrous finish all over. No wonder it has become Phil’s personal pipe of choice when he smokes.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
To care for a Proto Pipe, regular maintenance is essential for longevity and smooth performance. Depending on usage, occasional spot cleaning or a thorough weekly cleaning will help prevent excessive buildup. Cleaning while the resin is still soft is much easier than waiting for it to harden. Use a pipe cleaner, isopropyl alcohol, and Q-tips to remove residue from the bowl, chamber, and mouthpiece. Disassemble the removable components, soak them in rubbing alcohol, and wipe out the tubes and bowl for a deeper clean. After cleaning, thoroughly rinse all parts with hot water to remove any remaining residue. Keeping your Proto Pipe well-maintained not only enhances performance but also preserves its classic look and function.

Features:
-
Proton Poker
The Proton Poker features a thicker, solid brass knurled handle, designed to provide a better grip for easy removal. The knurled texture enhances control, making it easier to maneuver and handle the poker, ensuring a smoother and more efficient experience when disassembling and cleaning your Proto Pipe.
-
Stash Pod
The collar on the stash tube is a wider, curved, knurled design that adds a sleek, sci-fi-inspired aesthetic to the Proto Pipe. Not only does it enhance the pipe's visual appeal, but it also gives it a more artistic and unique look, making it both functional and stylish.
Proto Pipe Voyager - 2.5 Months Later
This was my first brass pipe and upon initially using it, I thought it was the bees knees, and to some degree I still think it is, but there are some issues which I think it needs.
1. The literal tube you suck out is just too short if you are someone with big lips or have their nose close to their lip. I realise little people may find it long enough, but is it too much if you gave customers the choice of having an extended version?
2. The poker is not thick enough to stay secure in the holder. I’ve already lost the spare because I angled the pipe up and it fell out. You have to coat the poking end in resin so it sticks, and forcefully bend the secret stash’s checkered lip in, just so it hopefully stays in. Com on guys this cost me $$
3. The poker holder opens into the pipes chamber. This means that if that poker is not inserted in, you get a large increase of airflow when you pull. Which ruins the pull. So every time resin gets stuck and I have to adjust between pulls, I have to fiddle the thin ass poker back in, only because that holder is open into the chamber. Extend the holder and seal the chamber end Proto!
4. The lock on the stash quickly wears down from tight and secure, to incredibly loose. There must be some other lock mechanism you guys could use that doesn’t wear so soon.
5. It doesn’t come with a pipe cleaner. Like bro😂 Bfr that’s another specialty online order I now have to make because nowhere around me sells pipe cleaners.
A fully brass pipe cleaner would be cool guys why don’t you start doing that?
Thanks for reading i think there’s more but im pretty gone. I can confirm that the pipe does work👌 I stay a big fan tho guys! just not the Swiss Army pipe you wish it was.
Thanks Team
Bought 1 that’s nice and smooth and used and another for my girl. Best ever. ***idea for the poker. I flattened the knurled poker and shaped it so it locks in place with a quarter turn. Never lose it then. I can send pics- search East Troy, Wi ✌️
You rock
I had the old school deluxe back in the day. I bought this as a gift and I liked the design over the old ones for the cleaning out the bottom of bowl but the mouthpiece is to short and the pocker is also not smooth and not long enough to clean out the stem perfect. The best design would be the classic deluxe mixed with this new voyager. Its not a negative review but I expected it to be easier to use and clean.
Fit and finish on this pipe is excellent. Haven't smoked it yet. Awesome collector’s piece. Pipe has a nice weight to it. Best part is that it is made in USA.
I picked up this smooth smoker just a couple of months ago, and I'm giving it her first alcohol bath (thank you Richard and Rona for the cleaning 101 video.) It's been many years since I smoked, but now that it's legal I wanted a pipe that would make the smoke process pleasant and low maintenance. I ran an internet search and came across the LA Times article regarding the history and success of the Proto Pipe. I can say without hesitation that this is the finest pipe I've had the pleasure of owning. It's like the Swiss army knife of pipes. I especially love the stash chamber, and the fact that I can fill the bowl and slip the cover on so that all I need to do is open the cover when I'm ready and fire up my favorite smoke. I can really go on with the benefits of this pipe, but in a nutshell this is one fine pipe. Well made and will last a lifetime. Finally my brothers and sisters get one and have a nice bone. Peace!
